TJMHC Purim Masquerade Ball!

TJMHC is excited to reimagine Southern Arizona’s original Purim Ball!

In the early 1900s, the Hebrew Ladies Benevolent Society held a Purim Ball to raise funds to build the first synagogue in the Arizona Territory. Built in 1910, this space is now home to the Tucson Jewish Museum & Holocaust Center. Make plans now to join us as we celebrate their original vision and determination in creating a heart for Southern Arizona Jewish Life. We will be serving heavy hors d'oeuvres. Valet parking will be provided.

This year, we will honor Sharon Glassberg with the inaugural Queen Esther Award. Sharon has served the Jewish and broader community of Southern Arizona with a quiet and consistent devotion for more than 25 years. She is a Clinical Therapist at Jewish Family & Children's Services, providing Southern Arizona Holocaust Survivors the support system to thrive in their daily lives. Previously, Sharon served as the Director of Jewish Education/Vice President for Programming & Organizational Development at the Jewish Federation of Southern Arizona. Sharon also directed Tucson Hebrew High and other Jewish teen engagement programs, including participation in the International March of the Living. She has also facilitated community adult education programs including the Jewish Culture Shuk and the Melton School of Adult Jewish Learning, and she initiated and oversaw PJ Library. Currently, Sharon teaches an Introduction to Judaism course through Kol Ami's Jewish Lifelong Learning program.
